MORNING

I just got to work and already I am so bored. Im not sure why I dont just get a new job, but here I am again. The same thing happens everyday. Specimens come in, I test them, and I send the results out. Everyday, the same. Everyday a waste. Everyday, one day closer to death.

AFTERNOON

I just got back from lunch. Today I felt like something exotic, but them remembered that along with my boring life and my boring job, i reall have boring taste and do even like exotic so I got a grilled cheese sandwich. I know, 30 years old and still having grilled cheese for lunch. It might as well have been peanut butter and jelly.

A specimen came in right after lunch, so I sat myself down to get to work and began the testing. Wow, surprise, surprise another vile of blood to be tested for the HIV. Another of the same kind of test, another day the same.

EVENING

The thing is, is that with everyday the same and my being bored out of my skull I have to pass the time. I narrate to myself, since no one else is around.

"Oh jeez, another cholesterol test. Another fat guy is going to die."

"Oh man this person is very unlucky, HIV positive."

I always ask why I am so insensitive but havent been able to answer. I guess when everyday is the same, the answer wont matter anyway.
