EVENING

It was the summer after my freshman year of high school, and I was at camp with my best friend, Angela.

On the weekend of July 4th, my parents picked us up and took us to see Spider-Man 2.

Something about the mood of that night was captured in my mind forever. It was the energy of the movie itself (despite it being a comic book film, Sider-Man 2 is a VERY good movie), being young, that ripe summer feeling, it was everything.

The mood was satisfaction. I had nothing to worry about at that point in my life, despite the fact that it had been the most stressful year in my life. I felt at peace, with my parents and my friend there.

After our parents dropped us off back at Duke, we took advantage of the fact that no one had yet come back to camp. We roamed the dorm, laughing at I'm not sure what. We jumped on our beds, we cut out pictures from magazines, we were girls.

Were one to watch my life, this one in particular had no noteworthy occurrence, but it had a perfect sim
