THE BEGINNING
MORNING
My aunt Natalie visited us for Memorial weekend. I woke up a few times last night to the sound of her snoring (we had to share a bed), but other than that, I slept well. My mom walked in at about 8:30 and woke both of us up.
Before I did anything, I called Angela to make plans with her to visit. I watched the sun light up the pool outside, and Rudy (my dachshund) came to cuddle with me.
My mom, dad, aunt and I went to Cravings, which is a little coffee place nearby. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. Even though the Morning Glory muffin I got was the bomb.com, I ordered a strawberry smoothie... and it was literally just frozen strawberries + ice + skim milk. It put me into way too bad of a mood.
We sat outside and I enjoyed the weather. Florida weather is perfect to me - oppressively hot with some good humidity mixed in there. I'm not being sarcastic. I love it.
AFTERNOON
We came back and headed to the beach - that is, my mom, my aunt, and I. It was way rougher out today and the water was WARM! But I didn't swim. I sat in a beach chair, read a magazine, and felt the sun beat down on me. I love nothing more than when I can close my eyes and feel just like I'm in a bathtub because the sun has such a presence. We were there for a few hours, and I had time to think about things.
I came back and showered, and started figuring things out for my big trip to London. Natalie drove home, and I straightened my room up.
EVENING
After getting a lot of work done in the house (my parents just moved here and I've been helping them move in), we all went back to the beach to give the baby dachshund a walk.
The wind caught his ears, making him look not unlike a kite, and he ran with a force that was nothing short of hilarious.
Afterward we all went for a drive, stopped at Publix to get a few things, and I ordered my birthday cake for tomorrow!
Now I may go ride my bike before I conch out.
