Gazillion Days - Single Day In History (by bookworm)

MORNING

Last December, I took a brief Vegas Trip over the weekend with some friends. Instead of writing about each day, I'll write about the entire trip in this one story.

We had just finished Finals that week and we looking for a way to blow off steam. So, that Friday morning, we got together at UCSD and divided ourselves up in cars. We got breakfast on the way up the 15 freeway.

We are on the road for about 4 hours including stops. By the time we get to our hotel, the Luxor Hotel, we are all excited about getting started.

We put away our bags and then go play some of the games. After a couple of hours, we go have dinner at the steakhouse there.

We wanted to catch a show so we asked the front desk assistants what was good. We ended up seeing a comedy show where we got a free drink.

AFTERNOON

On Saturday, we went around to the other casinos. Partly to test our luck and partly to people watch. I hadn't been to Vegas for a few years and was again amazed at all the excitement around us. There was an outdoor concert and performers all around.

We ended up playing at Mandalay Bay for a while. Then we went to see some of the shops at the Venetian. We had lunch there and then looked for more stuff to do.

We planned on going to a club that night. So we walked back towards Luxor and played in some of the hotels along the way.

We eat dinner at the Luxor and head up to our rooms to change. We go to the nightclub at the Wynn hotel. We drink and party most of the night away.

EVENING

Not sure when I got up on Sunday but we needed to check out soon. So, I packed up all my stuff and tried to sober up. We got some breakfast and played a few more hands of blackjack before actually checking out of our rooms.

On our way out, we see all the other people leaving with their bags. For some reason, it reminds me of 6th grade camp when I was much younger.

By the end of the weekend, I can't even remember a single question on my Finals. Which means, this trip was a complete success.

We take our time on the long trip back home. I must've gained at least 5 pounds of food and drinks. Next time we go to Vegas, I'll make sure I bring my loose jeans.. haha.
