Spend Your Day Going For A Walk

While there are millions of places to go, sometimes the most romantic places are just around the corner.

Long Walk

Finding a place is really simple.  A nice long walk can be relaxing and a good way to exercise that heart muscle.  So, find a place where you can walk in a straight line for some time.  A beach is nice, but is often crowded.  A nice bike trail or park may be better.  Make short stops to look around and take a break.

A Quiet Place

Try to find a place that isn't noisy.  This will give you a chance to talk if you wish.  Even a park can be a little distracting at times.  So, find a very large park where you can separate yourselves from the rest of the pack.  A museum or zoo can be fun but not easy to get to.  Again, a bike trail may be the best choice.

Fresh Air

Sometimes we forget how powerful fresh air can make us feel.  Walking through a forest of trees or by a river or lake, can make us feel a step lighter.  The best time to get the full effect is after a rainfall or snowfall.  The moisture will bring out the smells better.  Add in a slight breeze and you'll have the perfect environment.

Scenic View

We spend a lot of times indoors at work or at home.  So, a place where there is a pleasant view can be very rewarding.  Not too many places have waterfalls or gorgeous sunsets.  But most beaches or hilltops can give you a nice colorful sunset.  Looking at the stars or the moon is also something most of us overlook.

Keepsakes

Find things to do while you're walking.  Collect colorful or unique rocks.  Or, shell at the beach. Or, flowers or leaves that have a nice fragrance.  Add them to your garden.  Use them as a centerpiece to remind yourselves to take another walk.  Clean them up and give them as gifts. Give yourself something to do on your walks to makes it more interesting and fun.

Have a fun and healthy walk.  Then, write about your experience on our website, Gazillion Days, to keep it yours forever.
